Return Inspections

Inspect equipment when returned from customers.

Overview

Return inspections assess equipment condition after hire. Document any damage and determine responsibility.


Creating Return Inspection

When processing off-hire:

  1. Equipment flagged for inspection
  2. Navigate to Manage > Fleet Returns
  3. Select the item
  4. Complete inspection

Inspection Process

  1. Visual Check: Exterior condition
  2. Operational Test: Functions correctly
  3. Damage Assessment: Document any issues
  4. Cleanliness: Cleaning required?
  5. Photos: Evidence of condition

Condition Categories

  • Good: Ready for next hire
  • Minor Damage: Small issues, hire OK
  • Major Damage: Needs repair first
  • Missing Parts: Items not returned

Damage Recording

If damage found:

  1. Select affected components
  2. Describe damage in detail
  3. Add photos
  4. Estimate repair cost
  5. Assign responsibility (customer/wear)

After Inspection

Based on results:

  • Good: Return to available pool
  • Needs Cleaning: Send for cleaning
  • Needs Repair: Create maintenance request
  • Customer Damage: May charge customer
